忽發奇想，你們或可聯絡報紙的社會服務版之類，看他們能否幫忙，畢竟到過尼泊爾的不一定上網，上網的不一定看到這版。
我估無論中、港官方最終都要靠尼泊爾警方，但他們自身難保，未必能全力幫助。你們也許要自己多嘗試其他渠道，例如或可嘗試聯絡一些當地報紙看能否在當地刊出告示，我的《相關網頁》內有一、兩個當地報紙的網站。

We've checked for the time of domestic flight in Nepal, that's no flight from Kathmandu to Jomsom,
So, we have to start our trek from Pokhara and so on.

Have you contacted the HK Immigration Department?
You should bear in mind that most people don't take what they see on the Internet seriously. To make it more seriously, I'll suggest you that, before leaving messages on discussion groups, you make ready a website with your friend's photo and personal information (e.g. appearance, itinerary).

在13/4剛從Kathmandu返港,有幾件事想跟大家分享：
1.持特區護照辦落地簽證不用付款,但在香港申請簽證則要付款,而且辦落地簽證的速度亦很快捷(不用5分鐘);
2.在5-9/4的5天Poon Hill遠足當中,5天下午都下雨,間有閃電、行雷,甚至落雹,所以要儘早起行,早點到達旅館;
3.吸血蟲已經開始活動,要小心;
4.山上住宿的4晚當中,只有最後一晚沒有停電及可在房間內充電,在Ghorepani的晚上停了十多次電,一定要帶電筒去浴室或厠所,另外推介使用放在頭上的電筒,非常好使好用;
5.出發上Poon Hill看日出時,不用穿太多衣服,因為在短時間走上山會很熱,但在山頂等/看日出時則很凍,那時才加衣會較好。
6.坐Greenline從Pokhara回Kathmandu的路途,check points非常多,在部份check point更見整車人要下車逐一登記,交通擠塞得很,7時40分上車,但要下午4時20分才抵達Kathmandu,建議可考慮乘飛機。
無論如何,請小心!Nepal的政局仍不穩定。另外,亦要多謝網主設計這個網址,很好!

剛從尼泊爾回來,撞正6-8Apr三日strike,不知只是今年還是年年如是,這三日不准車輛行走,原定由Pokhara返Kathmandu兩天才走,結果只可留在Pokhara,最後坐小型飛機再即轉機離開...
有小小經驗,本打算坐巴士由Chitwan到Pokhara,好在我們的guide無planning,買唔到車票而改坐的士,又在Chitwan收到消息--原本那條路中間有障礙,所以即轉行長一倍的山路,用了8小時.但之後得知,如果坐巴士的話,需時25小時呢!記住打聽清楚!

我琴日係尼泊爾返黎～
依我所見～基本上遊客區好正常（可能要保持旅遊業的關係），但出左遊客區氣氛就比較緊張，而且琴日離開Thamel就見到有人放火，而且好多軍車出入，另外在Pokhara附近都目到有傷人事件～(又係毛派所為)但山區(Annapurna)就沒有任何事情發生．

終於回到了家﹐ 在尼泊爾玩了一個多月回到香港還真有些不慣﹗
一些是本人對於尼泊爾旅行的一些經驗和體會﹐ 在此和大家分享一下﹕
1. 最好帶美金(現金或旅行支票)前往﹐ 港元的兌換率各地不一且全都低得可憐﹐ 美元兌換率則相當統一且相對合算。 (27-MAR-2004離開加德滿都時美元兌換率是1美元對71.2盧比.
2.本人于21-FEB-2004持香港SAR護照入境時毋須繳付30美元的簽証費
3.LONELY PLANET所建議的各種價格基本可信, 尤其是出租車以及人力車價格, 十分準確. 但有時可以進一步殺價. 我曾來往機場至THAMEL數次, 最便宜車資120盧比.
4.尼泊爾的日本人很多, 而且十分善於尋找各種便宜實惠的衣食住行. 本人在旅途中結識了一位日本朋友, 在他的提點下放棄了10美元的房間住進了條件差不多但只需200盧比的HOTEL(single room with prive bath room and hot water). 之後更學習他'塭食行遠的'精神, 在THAMEL的外圍找到一些相當好的LOCAL餐廳. 一頓MOMO+COKE午餐才只不過30盧比, 味道好極了.
5. 所有旅行社所服務的路線大致一樣, 價格也相差並不遠. 但要留意的是guide及公司間的僱佣關係. 很多旅行社在收取顧客付款後會將客人以一個價錢'外判'給guide. 而那個guide便要設法用這筆錢來支付旅程中客人的各種費用, 剩餘的錢便是他們的收入. 這種運營方式很大機會令客人得不到最好的住宿以及膳食服務.
6. 我選擇之旅行社收取US$665 作為二十一天Kala Patter + EBC + Cha La Pass+ Gokyo之旅的費用.
7. 大部份的旅行社都不設'退款', 如因個人原因提前終止行程或是提前完成行程, 將不獲退款. 小部份旅行社則可以提供更加靈活的費用結構. 如客人可以先支付最少限度的費用(如Kala Patter之旅客人可以付最少10-12天的費用, 超過的天數另外支付). 另外大部份的旅行社都並不接受'分期付款', 但是由於近來旅遊業低迷, 許多旅行社不得不作出讓步.
8. 在山上的物價和香港差不多. 一罐可樂要120-150盧比, 一碟炒麵要150-180盧比. 我粗略計算了一下, 如果住單人房外加一日三餐, 一天基本上要100港元. 另外在Namche Bazzar為電池充電, 誠惠一小時80盧比. 另外山上的熱水澡費用(Bucket Shower)隨著高度的增加而增加, 100-300盧比!
9. 去EBC的路途不遠但是路面情況十分艱難, 要長時間地在形狀各異大小不一的石頭上跳來跳去了還要應付碎石塵土下偶爾裸露的冰川. 除了Kumbu Ice Fall, EBC 基本上沒有什麼特別的景致, 而且看不到Everest!
10. Cho La Pass 沒有想象中驚險, 但仍不建議獨自上路. 由Tengbochi走向Gokyo方向個人認為更加容易. 唯其中一段雪坡的攀爬要多加小心, 因為有許多冰縫.
11. 本人由於'homesick'在清晨攀爬了Gokyo Ri後一口氣走了十小時回到Namche Bazzar, 各位在計劃行程時也可考慮加速下山, 唯要考慮個人體力.
12. 在山上最好不要進食肉類, 因為EBC路線所有肉類(水牛)都是在Lukla甚至更遠的地方屠宰後由挑夫運到山上, 其質量及衛生程度可想而知.
13. 在Gorak Shap的客棧有衛星電話, 我上次致電回港報平安收費380盧比一分鐘.

Three women of a same family on Saturday drowned while taking a bath in a canal at Suda VDC of Kanchanpur district, a daily reported Monday.
The dead are identified as Urmila Dhami, Kokhauli Dhami and Janaki Dhami, Spacetime daily reported. According to the report, Kokhauli and Janaki drowned when they jumped into the canal to rescue Urmila. Their bodies were only found Sunday, the daily reported quoting the local police.

Fire outbreak in Taplejung headquarters
Over two dozen houses have been destroyed by an outbreak of fire Sunday evening in Phungling bazaar of Taplejung district, various reports Monday said. Phungling bazaar is the district headquarters of Taplejung district.
Annapurna Post quoting regional Police Office at Biratnagar said that the fire which started Sunday evening was not controlled till Monday morning. Security forces and local people were deployed in extinguishing the fire.
Police confirmed no human casualties in the incident, reports said. The fire, however, has destroyed the office building of the Agriculture Development Bank, Nepal Bank Limited and district jail. The prisoners in the jail were transferred to a secure location by the security personnel.
According to Spacetime daily, the strong wind blowing in the area hampered the efforts to control the fire. The fire was reported to have started from a local thatched inn. The damage estimate is not yet in, the report added.
The outbreak of fire in the district headquarters has cut off telephone service and electricity in many parts of the district headquarters as the cables were destroyed, the reports added.

Blast kills passenger, over dozen injured
At least one passenger was killed and 13 others injured in a landmine explosion planted by suspected Maoists at Jugedi area on the Narayanghat-Munglin highway in Chitwan Sunday.
The blast occurred at around one in the morning as a passenger bus heading towards Sarlahi from Kathmandu ran over the landmine planted on the road.
Naresh Bishwokarma who was severely wounded was taken to Bharatpur Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, reports said. Other injured passengers have been admitted to the same hospital for treatment.
In a similar incident in Banke, two police personnel and an official of District Education Office were injured when suspected Maoists ambushed a vehicle carrying SLC exam papers at Khajura, reports said.
