Thanks so much for the quick reply, now I am quite comfortable with the travel agency's arrangement.

I was layed off by the company recently, so I got really a long long holiday, perfect for a dream trip.

I think I will take the ordinary and mild Kathmandu > Porhara > Poonhill > Chitwan iteninery first. I will take the Poonhill trekking as a warm up and see if I can handle it, if yes I may try the Kala Pattar track as you do.

Hope I can share some of my travelogue and photos here later!

1.進入ACAP區域均需要申請PREMIT,最好去之前請當地的旅行社
代辦免得麻煩浪費時間.
2.ACAP好像還沒聽到發生毛派騷擾的事件,一般遇到遊客只會
收取過路費,還沒聽到傷人案件.
3.在尼泊爾任何事情延遲都是正常的,準時是奇蹟但我不曾遇到
做行程規劃時,時間的彈性很重要.

i just return from Nepal. just to share that there is really 'Maoist' asking for money (they call it donation), exactly as what u mentioned. We met them in Grandruk(within the route of Poonhill) and we have to pay 1000(round HK$100)each to them.
P.S. i think that the trip to Nepal is great, evey Nepolis are very nice and helpful, my guide is also great. The only drawback was that we met a very bad travel agent and he nearly ruin our trip! ( i am not sure whether i should share the agent's information : Khumbi-Ila........la! - please delete it if it is not proper. )

Thank you again for your good suggestion. It is realy a good idea to send an email to my friend before I depart. Somehow, I have only 8 days to travel in Nepal and if for any reason my flights are postponed or delayed, then it will mess up my tour. Recently, I heard that the Royal Nepal Airlines stuck up most of the flight during the weeks in November. And the recent situation is, the flights still got delay in arriving Kathmandu for 4 hours or more!!!! It was said that the planes needed to be repaired and checked before they departed or after they arrived.... (because of the engine problems)

Right, I will be going in mid of December. I hope I will make up my mind very soon with your kind advice.

By the way, would you please recommend to me some hotels with reasonable price and best location in Kathmandu? Should I do the bookings in advance by emails?
