1. 你指的是世界第二高峰吧？那是喬戈里峰，英文簡稱 K2，高 8,611 米；

2. 玉山嘛，好像有人稱它為東北亞最高峰，世界排名我就不知了，但我估計絕不會在五百名以內；

本年七月我到了印度的himalaya,回來後依然對山上的生活念念不忘,現計劃再到訪該處及尼泊爾然後再去Darjeeling,可惜不丹是一個旅遊消費極高的國家,要不然我就可以由西至東,行畢himalaya range (當然亦少了K2那部份…),但自知體力及時間有限,只好選擇性而行了。

看完你的網頁後,提醒了我也可將手上的資料與相片制成網頁與人分享,很高興能在千萬個網頁中看到這一個!

Hi Connie,

Thank you for visiting my site and spending time to read my travelogue. Your trip from Yunnan to Nepal is one of the 'golden' travel route, which I hardly can spare so much time to experience :-(

The Himalayas are so beautiful that attracted me (a totally non-sporty person) to start hiking and finally reached the places I never dreamed of I can go. In fact, I re-visited Nepal in last Christmas. I trekked in the Annapurna region this time. Although the country suffers from political instability recently, the Himalaya life there is still peaceful and people there still frendly as usual.

I'll update my Nepal site to include my second visit, although it will take months of time!

Nepal is the country I like most among the places that I have travelled. I love her peace, quiet, ancient, small, natural, simple, kind & the low expenditure.

Do u think it is a good place to run a shop under the white himalaya mountain & next to the green lake for retirement?

You're not alone to express such feeling after coming back from Nepal. From time to time I receive messages from travellers telling me they plan to have their next visit to the country. Indeed I'm one of those addicted to Nepal. I think I'll have my 3rd or even 4th, 5th ... visits in the future.

Open a shop? Ha ha, I've a dream like you before! But of course reality may have much difference from a wonderful short glimpse in our travels. There are lots of practical issues waiting... Oh! Maybe I'm too cruel to say too much negative on your dream.

I've read your website on Mt. Kinabalu and Everesrt(twice on this). They are so impressive, attractive and informative that I have spent hours to read them and am going to finish the rest later.

This is the first time that I go into the travel website and your website was so marvellous that arouse me to response to you at once. (Poor! I got to wait two weeks later till now since I even don't know how to use the Yahoo E-mail - first time again). In fact, I am just very interested in your backgroud especially when you called yourself olddreamer. I wonder if you are a teacher, a highly educated person, a civil servant(got so much spare time), or an IT specialist who can design such an excellent website.

By the way, I think I can be counted as a female young looking old dreamer (forty something) who is also a coward with big dreams (some of them have already come true). All of a sudden, I dream of going to Everest in October this year since some of my friends will go. (I just wonder if female of my age can manage to such trekking). I even don't know what is the Everest but just heard of the name before. After reading your daily and the details, I feel very excited to go but worry and scare of the altitude sickness and the condition of the rest place!!! Can you tell me more on these?
